RBI stands for Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities. It's goal is to encourage more young children, especially African-Americans to play baseball. In 1975, about 25% of the major leagues consisted of African-Americans. A study taken in 2007 proved that there was just an 8.4 percentile of African-Americans in the Major Leagues. Though the numbers are increasing, we will not give up. Let's not only encourage younger kids to continue to play the game of baseball, but kids of all races and ages to follow the game passionately.
